Accuracy first
Every character, Alt code and Unicode value on this site is generated from the Unicode standard and the Windows character sets rather than typed by hand. Keyboard shortcuts are checked against the official behaviour of Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
Language rules
Spelling and accent rules follow the official authorities for each language where one exists, such as the Real Academia Española for Spanish and the Académie française for French.
Corrections and updates
Operating systems and apps change their menus over time. When a reader reports a change or we find one, the page is updated and its date changes. Send corrections to accentletterscopyandpaste@gmail.com.
